The southern end of the Central Coast is filled with coastal beauty, with spectacular walking tracks, unhurried towns, and a host of stays, from secluded luxury to family hotspots. Hidden away are many artist spaces waiting to be explored.

The Itinerary

This region stretches from Patonga, a quiet and much-loved seaside hamlet in the south, to the historic waterfront town of Woy Woy, and across to Killcare, and dotted in between are artist studios and spaces.

Marijke Greenway

10am-5pm, Pearl Beach

Marijke Greenway is self taught painters and still experimenting every day. She works in watercolour, acrylic, oils and encaustic. She finds painting ‘en plein air’exciting and challenging and has painted the outback whilst travelling in three long loops around Australia.

  

Cecile Ferguson

10am-4pm, Pearl Beach

Cecile moved to the Central Coast in 2012 and took up painting in 2016. She has been an active artist in the Pearl Beach community and has been instrumental in organising various art exhibitions within the village. Cecile's art focuses on beach landscapes, wildflowers and still life.       

  

Frances Alter

10am-4pm, Pearl Beach

Frances is a visual artist with 30 years experience specialising in painting using watercolours, oils and acrylics with a subject matter inspired by Australian flora and fauna.

  

  

Gaby Porter

10am-3pm, Pearl Beach

A professional sculptor with over 40 years of industry experience. Utilising a diverse range of permanent and ephemeral materials including bronze and stone, Gaby's sculptural forms are displayed in an established sculptor garden and studio, The Pink Onion.

  

  

Jo Diggens

10am-4pm, Pearl Beach

Meet Jo Diggens, an internationally acclaimed printmaker turned painter. She paints what she sees around her, searching for beauty in the everyday objects in her home and surrounds. In 2020 she was a finalist in the Gosford Art Prize.

  

Margaret Westcott

10am-3pm, Pearl Beach

Meet Margaret Westcott in her home studio and see her painting and ceramics, you may even recognise her work from the Pearl Beach Artist Trail.

  

Leonard Uribe

Saturday 9am-4pm, Phegans Bay

Originally from Colombia, Leonardo Uribe is a multidisciplinary artist. His practice explores identity, memory, and immigration through drawing, painting, and sculpture. 

  

Christina McLean

10am-3pm, Umina Beach

Meet Christina at her studio, she uses clay as her canvas, creating bold, one-off ceramic wares that blur the line between art and function. Intricately etched and decorated where colour becomes a defined element. 

  

Umina Beach Pottery

10am-4pm, Umina Beach

Peter produces a range of wheel thrown work, with an emphasis on layered textured surfaces utilizing a range of techniques from layered shino glazes fired in reduction, and colorful gestural brushwork with layered slips and underglazes. 

  

Belinda Lindhardt

Saturday 10am-2.30pm & Sunday 10am-2pm, Woy Woy

Belinda Lindhardt is a multidisciplinary artist where stories take shape through colour and storytelling. Alongside creating original works, various workshops are delivered to support the development of one's own creative expression.
