Wyong is a heritage town in the north of the Central Coast, framed by Tuggerah Lakes, Wyong River banks, and the Watagan Mountains. With its own performing arts theatre, modern cafés and restaurants, racecourse, golf course and artfully restored buildings from yesteryear, Wyong is embracing its role as the region's low-key creative town centre.

Wake up to an amazing brew thanks to Glee Coffee, this local coffee roaster has a few key spots located across the Central Coast, and today you're visiting the historic Chapman Building cafe in the heart of Wyong. This venue is stylishly revamped from its hey-day with a spacious, industrial feel and delicious menu to peruse. If it's a beautiful day, enjoy your coffee in their sunny outdoor terrace.

Peek into Wyong's past

Once you're fuelled with local coffee, explore Wyong's historic township. Take the free, self-guided Wyong Heritage Walk with signposted stops to help you step back into the shoes of locals 100 years ago. Start at Railway Square and follow the signs. Take a leisurely drive to the hinterland just a few minutes west of Wyong. Stop for lunch at Angel Sussurri Restaurant and Manor House in Yarramalong. Next, visit Regans Fine Foods, an old-school butcher and purveyor of local produce and farm goods. They have a great range of homemade ready-to-go meals and treats perfect for a picnic.

Paddle Wyong Creek

Head back to Wyong Milk Factory precinct where you can hire a kayak from All Sorts Fitness and paddle down the serene water of Wyong Creek. Keep a keen eye out for wild platypus, which are extremely elusive but live locally in this important waterway.

Head back to treat yourself to a delicious dinner in Wyong’s town centre at one of its leading restaurants. There's modern Middle-Eastern available at Motel Mezza based in a stylishly revived old bank, Sirone's pizza by the metre in the charming Gallery Precinct, or nearby Osteria a Mano for authentic Italian feast.

Explore magical mazes, meet and greet friendly farm animals, learn about native and exotic wildlife species and animals, jump onboard the maze express train, experience pony rides and petting shows and wander through botanical gardens.

Enjoy lunch at the Wyong Milk Factory Tavern, an eclectic multi-level interior with plenty of seating, pub classics, and large bar with plenty of beers on tap. In you visit on the right day you might catch some live entertainment!

Experience the bush like never before

Drive out to TreeTop Adventure Park to get up-close and personal with native Australian wildlife and magnificent Gum trees, as you climb, weave and fly through the treetops on self-guided rope courses. Flex your adventurous spirit and test yourself mentally and physically with over 100 elevated obstacles with rope ladders, wobbly bridges, tunnels, cargo-nets and zip lines.
