The coastal café crawl keeping our beaches clean
That coffee hits differently when you know you’re leaving nothing but footprints along our beaches, bushwalks and vibrant town centres.
Whether you’re catching up with friends and family, spending a weekend staycation near any of our 41 beaches, or know you’ll be between sand and surf every day – there’s countless ways to think green and limit your impact on our beautiful environment. As a certified ECODestination at the Ecotourism level. we're proud to have Coastie-born global environmental plastic-pollution movement Take 3 for the Sea helping people care for our oceans - but what's next?
The Central Coast is a destination with sustainability front of mind – and now front of house, with more than 27 local businesses forming an exciting, new eco-friendly ‘green café crawl’...

Going coastal? Go green too.
If you're grabbing a takeaway, drop your empty cup into the coffee cup recycling bins at Erina Fair - through the Simply Cups program, those cups are turned into useful products like building materials and garden beds, instead of ending up in landfill. The community has already kept more than 1.5 million cups out of landfill, and counting. Way to go, Coasties.
Interested in helping with the war on waste at Erina Fair? The six new recycling bins can be located in the following areas of the shopping centre:
• Coles Fresh Food Precinct near Sutcliffe Meats
• Outside Woolworths
• Entry to the Foodcourt
• Fashion Mall near Lorna Jane
• Kmart Mall near Priceline
Taking your reusable cup with you everywhere helps combat the war on waste.
Rise Mofo, Toukley, are one of many Central Coast cafés on the trail.

Sustainable travel starts at home, and away
Every time you choose a reusable coffee cup, you’re doing more than skipping a bit of landfill - you’re part of a small, steady ripple of change. That cup becomes a quiet companion on coastal mornings, from the first sip before a beach walk to the warm hands‑around‑a‑latte moment in your favourite local café. And with every refill, you’re helping protect the very places you love - the beaches, bush tracks and salt‑touched town centres - so that future Coasties and visitors can enjoy them just as much as you do.
