A classic day at The Entrance

The Entrance has long been known as the perfect holiday spot and this day gives you a taste of why.

Breakfast

Usui Cafe

Enjoy breakfast and a coffee at any of the relaxed cafés available in The Entrance, Usui Cafe is decorated with local artists works for sale.

Picnic Point

Spend the morning at Picnic Point, the skate park on the edge of Tuggerah Lakes is picture perfect.

Lunch

The Lake House

Dine with locals in this restored, heritage-listed, guesthouse-turned-restaurant. Expect succulent lamb on the menu with prosecco on tap. Keep an eye on the daily specials board.

Afternoon

The Entrance Baths

Clear your mind with a cleansing swim. There’s a 50-metre ocean lap pool, a 20 metre and a wading pool located at the southern end of The Entrance beach. Free entry all year.

Have an indulgent seafood dinner at the Ocean Restaurant

Across the bridge to The Entrance North

On the other side of The Entrance Channel is The Entrance North, the lesser known but just a lovely little seaside holiday spot that is well worth a full day of exploring.

Afternoon

Go fishing

Get a fishing licence from the Visitor Centre and hire a rod from the boat shed to try fishing under The Entrance Bridge or over the bridge at Terilbah Reserve

Dinner

On the boardwalk

Treat yourself to dinner near the scenic board walk at one of the local eateries to watch the east coast sunset on the channel.

Prawning

If its prawning season grab your waders and a torch and try your hand a catching some prawns in the channel at night.
