Beneath the Waves - The Lakes Festival

What lies beneath Tuggerah Lake?

Join Associate Professor Troy Gaston and his team from the University of Newcastle and explore the depths of Tuggerah Lake!

In this activity, attendees can operate an underwater drone, or remotely operated vehicle (ROV), which allows you to explore beneath the waves of Tuggerah Lake. The ROV footage will be live streamed enabling attendees and participants to see what is lurking beneath the water.

This activity offers a great insight for those that are curious about aquatic habitats and have an interest in our estuaries and coasts. The activity also provides a great opportunity to ask questions and talk to the team of experts from the University of Newcastle’s Coastal and Marine Science.
