Just an hour north of Sydney, nestled in the Lower Hawkesbury’s misty estuaries, lies Broken Bay Pearl Farm, the only operational pearl farm in NSW. In this beautiful setting, our dedicated team sustainably cultivates some of Australia’s rarest and purest Akoya pearls. From our Shellar Door home, we invite visitors to step into this world of natural wonder, sustainable farming, and immersive experiences woven with the fascinating history of pearling in Australia.  

Get out on the water and join us on our family friendly pearl farm tours. Spot the eagles circling overhead whilst you visit our working Hawkesbury River leases, and enjoy an educational, hands-on experience with our wonderful oysters in this pristine natural environment.  

Back on dry land, step inside our exclusive Pearl Grading Room and learn the seven virtues of pearl grading, before witnessing the excitement of a pearl harvested right before your eyes. Because that moment a lustrous pearl emerges from the folds inside the shell? Pure magic!  

Finally, you can enjoy the freshest local oysters on our oyster tasting journeys, learning about the different flavour profiles of our locally-grown oysters whilst learning to shuck like a pro.
