Summer on the Central Coast

Hargraves beach by David Ross - Summer Campaign Central Coast

The Central Coast beaches are paradise for locals and guests seeking a swim.

From Patonga Beach in the south to Coral Fern Beach in the north, our region proudly offers more than 40 golden stretches of sand and aqua blue waves calling for a dip. With 15 patrolled beaches, a number of sheltered patrolled ocean pools and beautiful ocean baths, there are plenty of safe places to take a refreshing swim.

To improve access and inclusion for people with limited mobility or living with a disability, Central Coast Council provides beach wheelchairs available for free at 13 beaches and has installed beach matting at several popular locations across the Coast.

This essential guide will set you up safely for sunny days spent between the sand, surf and those red and yellow flags.

Iconic Norah Head lighthouse

Shining bright since 1903, the Norah Head Lighthouse has sat proudly on the headland of Norah Head for 120 years and is one of the few lighthouses in Australia that is open to the public seven days a week.  As well as being a unique wedding venue, guests can spend the night in the heritage listed Light Keepers Quarters, or join one of the day or evening tours to get a glimpse into lighthouse life.
