Central Coast Council is celebrating National Tree Day at Killcare Beach on Sunday 29 July 2026, from 9am-1pm.
Please join us for an Acknowledgement of Country and Smoking Ceremony at 8:30am

The plants provided for the sites are currently being grown by our environmental volunteers at our Erina Depot Nursery. These plants will contribute to preserving our beautiful, natural environment.
Come along and enjoy getting your hands dirty, while helping your local environment and supporting Planet Ark’s annual event.
Killcare Beach will focus on the planting of native coastal species in the fore and hind dunes of Killcare Beach on the Central Coast. Dune vegetation is important, not only is it critical in reducing erosion and sand lost during high seas, winds and storms, dune vegetation is also an important component of regional biodiversity - providing habitat and food for native flora and fauna. Plants provided for the sites are currently being grown by our environmental volunteers at our Erina Depot Nursery and will contribute to preserving our local natural environment.
Fun on offer includes:
- tree planting
- live music
- animal displays
- environmental and cultural workshops
- activities for kids (face painting and more!)
Please wear enclosed footwear, gloves, and protective clothing.

Please bring a water bottle and wear a hat, gloves, long pants, long sleeves, and sturdy enclosed shoes. Remember you will get dirty!
Every day can be tree day! By planting native plants, we contribute towards a healthier and more resilient environment and waterways, increase biodiversity, and provide habitat for native wildlife.
