Jasmine Forcadilla

Central Coast based Australian Filipina artist, Jasmine Forcadilla, was born into a family of creatives. Jasmine had been exposed to the arts from a young age and has always found solace in the act of creating.

As a ‘mestiza’ (person of mixed race), art helps Jasmine in coming to terms with her cultural identity. Her current “Spirit Animal” series is inspired by the beauty of individuality and the complexities of identity.

Many of her works are highly personalised and collaborative from start to finish. Often depicting the urban jungle, her paintings capture the imperfection of humankind through irreverent nuances and animals personified.
