NSW Tourism Awards 2021

Congratulations to all our amazing Central Coast businesses (and individuals!) who have been named finalists in the NSW Tourism Awards: Australian Reptile Park; Aussie Ark; Ibis Styles The Entrance; Sydney Oyster Farm Tours (Mooney Mooney) & Central Coast Council Marketing & Tourism Team. Winners will be announced at an Awards Gala Dinner in February 2022. Good luck!


Grant / funding opportunities - 

Alfresco Restart Rebate

  • Funded by - NSW Government. 
  • Rebate of $5,000 for hospitality businesses to establish or expand their alfresco settings and to help the hospitality, arts and music sectors recover from the impacts of COVID-19 restrictions.
  • Rebate capped at first 5,000 successful applicants. Applications open 17 December 2021. Claims must be made by 30 April 2022. 


Tourism Product Development Fund

  • Funded by - NSW Government.
  • $4.1 million to support regional accommodation renewal and new visitor experiences. Two streams of funding are available Refresh and Renew Fund and Experience Development Fund.
  1. $1.6 million under the Refresh and Renew Fund, offering grants of $30,000 (with a $15,000 co-contribution from the applicant), to assist accommodation providers improve their facilities and accommodation to better meet consumer expectations. The minimum eligible project budget is $45,000. Applications close 09 Dec 2021.
  2. $2.5 million under the Experience Development Fund, is available to businesses that are proposing to develop a new attraction or experience in NSW that directly aligns with the NSW strengths identified in the Visitor Economy Strategy (VES) 2030. Shortlisted EOI's will be invited to submit applications. Applications close 16 Jan 2022.  


Destination NSW: Regional Event Fund

  • Funded by - NSW Government.
  • $1.5 million to support new and flagship regional events that have the potential to act as flagship tourism events for their area. Three streams available - Incubator Event stream, Flagship Event stream & Event Development stream.
  • Applications for the Incubator and Flagship Event streams close at midnight on Sunday 5 December.
  • The Event Development stream will remain open until available funds are exhausted.


NSW Regional Business Event Development Fund

  • Funded by - NSW Government.
  • Grants from $15k to $30k to create, attract and support business events for regional NSW.
  • Applications close 31 January 2022 or when funds have been expended.
