Weave your way into Burbank for this creative & relaxed workshop...
Join us here at Burbank House & Garden for this new workshop with Leanne Barnett, ‘creative and playful maker of woven things’. Coil weaving is an ancient practice that can be both functional & creative. It is a slow & meditative technique- it quietens the busy mind while using your hands. It is an opportunity to sit with others and create something unique and beautiful.
During this 2 ½ hour class you will learn how to use raffia to make a small basket using the coiling technique. You will learn how to start a basket, to form a shape, and to finish off.
All materials will be supplied, and you will take home extra raffia & a coil starter so you can complete your basket if needed and make another at home if you would like to practise your new skills.
