Get Ready for a Genre-Bending, Heart-Thumping Night with Mitch Tambo!

Mitch Tambo is hitting the stage, and he’s bringing the kind of energy that turns an ordinary night into a full-blown celebration. A genre-bending trailblazer, Mitch fuses contemporary world music with traditional Gamilaraay language, dance, and culture, creating a live experience that’s as uplifting as it is unforgettable.

With 16 x #1 singles, 2 x #1 albums, and fans from Europe to Asia to the Pacific cheering him on, Mitch is officially the #1 Aboriginal artist in the world (Chartmetric). His iconic Gamilaraay rendition of the John Farnham classic You’re the Voice has smashed 1 million streams, proving he doesn’t just sing songs –  he transforms them.

Mitch has lit up some of the biggest stages, including FireFight Australia, Carols by Candlelight, the Australian Open, the Beach Volleyball World Championships, and the NRL Indigenous All Stars. He’s also taken his powerhouse performances to Dubai, Rome, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, and more.

Now, you get to experience all of that talent, passion, and spirit up close, in an intimate setting where every note and story lands right at your feet. The show will feature crowd favourites he’s reimagined, including Great Southern Land, The Best, and Absolutely Everybody, along with powerful originals like Yugal Yulu-gi and Heal.

Mitch’s performances are vibrant, heartfelt, and crafted to leave you walking out brighter than you walked in.

Don’t just hear the music – feel the movement.

WITH GUEST VOICE OF LELE
Lele, known as Voice of Lele, is a West Papuan singer‑songwriter, refugee advocate, and cultural ambassador whose music and activism honour her heritage and amplify the voices of her people. Inspired by her late father — lead singer of the legendary Black Brothers Band — she began her career with her sisters in The Black Sistaz, touring globally alongside artists such as UB40, Julian Marley, Michael Franti, Katchafire, and SOJA, and performing at major festivals including Glastonbury, Cali Roots, WOMAD, and the Montreal Jazz Festival.

Passionate about empowering young people, Lele co‑created the West Papuan Youth Project with her husband, Australian World Music artist Mitch Tambo, producing the celebrated cultural‑exchange song I Wanna Know, which received national radio play.

After leaving The Black Sistaz to pursue a solo career, Lele released Island Proud, Jow Manfun, and Amazing Grace, followed by the 2025 duet My Island Home with Mitch Tambo, which topped the charts. She has performed at Carols by Candlelight, the Australian Open, the Prime Minister’s Olympic Dinner, All Cultural Fest, and the Dunggula Cultural Festival.

A proud mother of four and a powerful advocate for refugee women and West Papuan freedom, Lele continues to use her voice to inspire, uplift, and celebrate cultural identity.

MITCH TAMBO
Mitch Tambo is one of Australia’s leading World Music artists, celebrated for blending contemporary sounds with First Nations culture and for bringing the Gamilaraay language to global audiences. His debut album Guurrama-Li topped iTunes charts worldwide, and his version of You’re the Voice became the first Gamilaraay-language track to surpass one million streams. Across his career, he has achieved an extraordinary 14 consecutive #1 singles on the iTunes World Music Charts.

After early success with Sony Music Australia, Mitch now thrives independently under his label Walanbaa Music. In 2024 he released Tambo Jamz Vol. 1, a 60‑track instrumental project, alongside acclaimed reinterpretations of The Best, Amazing Grace, and My Island Home with his wife, Voice of Lele. His work has earned multiple major award nominations, including at the NIMAs, the Golden Guitar Awards, and the Music Victoria Awards.

A dynamic live performer, Mitch has appeared at major global events such as Fire Fight Australia, Expo 2020 Dubai, the Rugby World Cup, the Australian Open, and the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. His 2023 national production Burn the Floor: Walanbaa Yulu‑gi fused First Nations culture with ballroom and Latin dance, earning widespread acclaim.

Beyond music, Mitch is a presenter, advocate, and storyteller, hosting programs for Meta, Yarning Strong, and MusoMagic, and voicing Tez the Echidna in a Christmas special. His commitment to youth empowerment led to the Walanbaa Youth Tour in 2024 and the expanded I AM ME Youth Tour in 2025, reaching more than 45,000 young people with messages of identity, resilience, and cultural pride.

In 2025, Mitch will release his first illustrated children’s book, I AM ME, through Allen & Unwin. He also recently appeared as a guest reporter on Nine’s Postcards, further showcasing his versatility and connection with audiences.
