Visit the CCMDC for free during The Lakes Festival! 
The Marine Discovery Centre provides a range of displays, aquaria and activities for families. For adults, enjoy learning about local maritime history and the amazing biodiversity that we have on the Central Coast. For kids, learn about the marine life in our aquaria and wet touch table, enjoy doing our treasure hunt, quizzes, and fun craft activities.
During the Lakes Festival the CCMDC will be offering free tours to discover our displays and activities. Bookings are essential and can be made via www.ccmdc.org.au/whats-on
On the following dates, we will have half hourly tours from 10am with a maximum of 10 people booking at each session  - this will include general entry to the Marine Discovery Centre. We will be closed to the general public on these dates.
•    Saturday, 8 November
•    Saturday, 15 November
•    Sunday, 16 November
During the week, from Tuesday, 11 November to Friday, 14 November, entry will be free to the first 30 people that book online for each day. We will be also be open to the general public as normal.
On Monday (10th), Tuesday (11th), the CCMDC will also be hosting Senior’s morning teas (10-11:30), and an afternoon tea (2-2:30pm) on Wednesday (12th). Join us to learn about our marine environment, enjoy morning tea and share your memories of local environments, waterways, oceans and coasts as we compile our “Memories Collection”. Cost is $20 per person (includes tour of the Marine Discovery Centre and morning tea). Numbers limited and bookings essential.

The Lakes Festival is back for its tenth year! This popular annual event will be making a splash across the entire Central Coast between 7-16 November 2025. This huge 10-day celebration of our waterways brings locals and visitors together to enjoy exciting family-friendly activities, cultural and educational programs hosted by local organisations and businesses.
The Lakes Festival is a great opportunity for everyone to get out and about, rediscover some places right on your doorstep and celebrate our diverse lakes and waterways with your family and friends.
