A Taste of History Pop Up - Harvest Festival 2026

Organised by

Come and enjoy a taste of history at the Hawkesbury Duck in Spencer where Mangrove Creek meets the Hawkesbury River.

Featuring Hawkesbury River exhibition, photographic archive and yarns. Meet the Heritage Ventures crew - ‘Talk to an historian’ – pop up talking about local heritage, family history and the deep layers of habitation with mini tours along the waterfront.

Discover a bush tradition — the local sarsaparilla vine, once linked with longevity and used as a colonial black tea substitute.

Taste this early bush tea on the verandah and take home a first fleet lemon.

Enjoy lemon myrtle shortbread, samples from the colonial kitchen, along with speciality teas served in fine vintage fine china.

Geoff Hawkins Hawkesbury clay pottery, art cards, local history books, ceramics and vintage for sale.
