World-famous baritone Teddy Tahu Rhodes makes his only Central Coast appearance for 2025, singing “Some Enchanted Evening” from “South Pacific”, the famous “Toreador Song” from Bizet’s “Carmen”, and many many more.
Teddy will be joined by a quartet of internationally renowned opera and music theatre stars, including:
- Sally-Anne Russell mezzo-soprano - Opera Australia, Pinchgut Opera, “My Fair Lady”, “Phantom of the Opera”
- Andrew Goodwin tenor - Pinchgut Opera, Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Bolshoi Theatre Moscow, La Scala Milan, Gran Theatre Liceu Barcelona, Teatro Real Madrid
- Clarissa Sparta soprano - Opera Australia, An Afternoon at The Proms Spectacular, The Italian Tenors & a Soprano, The Voice, West Side Story, The 7 Sopranos
- Madeleine Easton guest violinist - Madeleine is Australia's leading violinist who has performed throughout the UK and Europe and at the coronation of King Charles III. Madeleine plays on a Giovanni Grancino violin, which was made in 1682.
This is a charity event. All net proceeds will be donated to:
- Coast Shelter’s Youth Services program to help provide a standalone therapeutic space at one of their youth refuges on the Peninsula;
- Umina Surf Lifesaving Club in support of their ongoing voluntary surf lifesaving services to the community;
- Central Coast Conservatorium of Music’s Strings Scholarship program; and
- other Rotary Club of Woy Woy community beneficiaries.
This is an open-air, all-weather, BYO picnic style event held beneath the canopy of trees in the coastal rainforest of the Crommelin Native Arboretum in Pearl Beach, NSW.
Plan to arrive early as the event will start promptly at 3.00pm and should finish at 5.30pm. You can set up your picnic spot from 10:00am on the day of the event.
