A special Plot Play creative writing workshop for LGBTQIA+ people and allies aged 16 and over. A friend or support person who can help you write your story is welcome.
In this inclusive and accessible session, you will write your own queer story in a relaxed and supportive environment. Plot Gay is especially designed for people who have trouble with reading and writing, including adults with intellectual disability, but everyone with an interest in creative writing should come along!
No writing experience needed as you will be guided through fun and creative writing prompts, and you will leave with an outline for your next story.
You will use Easy Read and visual materials, and speak in plain English. You can bring a story helper (friend or support worker for free, please email them to organise). You choose how to record or write your story, they will not rush and you can take breaks whenever you like They will have example stories, and you can ask them for a social story to help with getting to the event. They can work with your interpreter, and you can talk to them about any other access needs.
