Introduction to Shibori Dye Techniques

Organised by

Shibori is the Japanese word for a 'variety of ways of embellishing textiles' by shaping cloth and securing it before dyeing. Cloth is shaped by these methods and secured in a number of ways such as binding and knotting. We will take you through the process of Shibori dying techniques and you will make a set of 4 premium 100% organic cotton Tea Towels which you can bundle up and give as a beautiful handmade gift, use them for everyday use or they look fantastic framed and hung on the wall too! If you have any pure cotton shirts or placemats, linen, or silk items you wish to dye please bring them along also.

Places for this workshop are strictly limited due to safety so to avoid disappointment grab your friends and book together! Please wear dark/old clothing.

All workshop materials, tea/coffee/hot chocolate and biscuits are provided on the day. If you have certain dietary requirements please feel free to bring your own tea/coffee and snacks, there are also several cafe's in the area.
