This course has you building and decorating 1 or 2 mugs each.
You'll use one of two techniques; Pinchpot, where you pinch down into a ball of clay with your fingers and slowly build up your mug.
Or Slab Rolling, where we'll roll out a perfectly thick piece of clay, cut it, roll it into the sides of your mug, then attach the base. Once the vessel part of your mug is complete you're free to decorate how you see fit. Stripes? Koala ears? An elephant trunk handle?
We also have a variety of letters and patterns you can press into your clay.
The workshop is family friendly, but we ask that children under the age of 12 are accompanied by an adult that is registered for the class as well.
This is a 3 hour workshop and costs $89 per person. Once finished, we’ll dry, glaze and fire your pieces, ready to pick up in 6-9 weeks.
