Coast to Lake Walk

The Coast to Lake is a self-guided walk around The Entrance and surrounding areas to experience the landmarks, attractions and scenery this popular pocket of the Central Coast has to offer. It's considered a 'string of pearls', covering over 7.6km of our beautiful area.

The Coast to Lake walk is divided into four distinct sections, and you can tackle each section separately. Sections one, three and four are fully accessible to wheelchairs, mobility scooters, prams and bicycles. Along the walk there are toilet amenities and you can enjoy the picnic and barbecue areas, beaches, lookout, ocean baths, cafes and galleries. Be sure to take a hat, sunscreen and a drink bottle which can be refilled at numerous water stations in each section. Dogs are allowed on a lead accept for on section two. 

There are also beach wheel chairs at The Entrance and Toowoon Bay, and beach matting at Toowoon Bay, weather and beach conditions permitting. 

Start at The Entrance Ocean Baths, Memorial Park, or The Entrance Waterfront Playground, head along the walkway north passing the impressive bridge over the Entrance Channel until you arrive at Picnic Point. Once you've arrived here you can turn south to Long Jetty Foreshore Reserve. Then, if you're feeling adventurous take the section through the suburbs to arrive at Toowoon Bay. Turn back afterwards to head back to the Entrance via the same way if you have mobililty challenges, as the section between Towoon Bay Surf Club and the Entrance is not a fully accessible pathway, and requires beach access and walking on rock platforms. 

There are also creative detours available, such as when you can get to Picnic Point Reserve north of The Entrance, you could cross over the bridge to Terilbah Reserve. Or, rather than heading to Toowoon Bay from Long Jetty, keep heading south along the foreshore passing by Watkin’s Jetty, until you arrive at Saltwater Creek Park.

There are car parks located at The Entrance Memorial Park, Picnic Point, Toowoon Bay Surf Life Saving Club, Tuggerah Parade corner Archbold Road, and Tuggerah Lake foreshore.
