A trip to the local art gallery is the perfect way to explore a different perspective of your surroundings

Gosford Regional Art Gallery maintains a rotating line up in The Foyer Gallery of local display works from established and emerging local artists in photography, sculpture, visual art and design. From its humble beginnings, this regional gallery is now renowned for hosting an impressive schedule of national and international exhibitions, including the Archibald Prize and many more.

Guided tours of the Gallery are every Saturday morning at 11:00 am and 11:30 am through the Japanese garden.

You'll find art of a different kind among the Gallery's star attractions

Take a lovely stroll through the Japanese gardens of the Edogawa Commemorative Garden, a gift to the people of Gosford by the Sister City Edogawa, Japan. It's fun to feed the Koi fish in the ponds off the oriental bridge. You'll find bags of food to purchase at reception.

The Gallery Shop is also a great place to shop local and regional treasures.

Glenn McKimmin is a professional landscape photographer with more than 15 years of diverse industry experience. He loves what he does for a living and generously helps others discover the life-changing benefits of photography, whether you're an amateur, professional or hobbyist.

His new gallery at Long Jetty doubles as an elegant shopfront for the Central Coast's longest-standing professional printing and framing company, Created for Life, who are on hand to help if you're keen to decorate your home with photographic art.

Photographer Glenn McKimmin set out on a four seater light aircraft from Warnervale airport to William Creek, South Australia to photograph a one in a hundred year flood at Kati Thanda-Lake Eyre. The photographs in the exhibition from this trip were shot entirely from a light aircraft looking directly down at the abstract patterns and textures of a Australia’s 200 million year old salt lake. Kati Thanda is the lowest point below sea level on the Australian continent. Don’t miss seeing this incredible collection of original artworks at Glenn’s beautiful Central Coast Gallery.
