Meet the Makers Trail Map
Meet the local artisans from coast to hinterland
Follow this trail across the Central Coast to tempt your taste-buds with behind-the-scenes experiences with Central Coast makers and creators.
Little Creek Cheese: Book a thirty-minute taste-testing experience to try ten multi-award-winning kinds of cheese or try your hand at a two and half hour cheesemaking workshop with a skilled cheesemaker. This family-owned and operated business is located in the North of the region, on the grounds of the historic Wyong Milk Factory just around the corner from the heritage town of Wyong.
The Chocolate Factory: Book a fifteen-minute factory tour where you can savour locally handcrafted nougat and chocolates at leisure, or book the kids into a Junior Chocolatier Workshop where they will spend an hour learning how these sweet treats are made. The Chocolate Factory is conveniently located in the centre of the Central Coast region at West Gosford.
Fires Creek Winery: In the agricultural gem of Holgate you can sample Fires Creek Winery's botanical and fruit flower wines at the cellar door, or for a more in-depth experience book in for a forty-five minute meet the winemaker tour. Alternatively, if you have more time you can choose either a luxurious, chocolate and wine experience for two or a rewarding bushtucker and wine experience with a local Darkinjung elder. If a hands on experience is what you are after, also available is a foraging and mixology experience.
Pearls of Australia: In Mooney Mooney on the Hawkesbury River you can take to the water with Pearls of Australia to experience NSW’s only pearl farm. Spend time with third-generation pearl farmers when you book a cruise to harvest the precious, local Akoya pearls or book a behind the scenes experience to tour the newly opened Broken Bay Shellar Door.
