Soft Sculpture Workshop with Minka Gillian

ABOUT

Join Central Coast based artist Minka Gillian in a soft sculpture workshop, to coincide with Minka's solo exhibition 'Super Bloom' at Gosford Regional Gallery.

Gillian has exhibited for over 20 years in Australia and in Japan. As an artist, Gillian identifies that her role is to absorb, filter and reshape thoughts and emotions into a solid form.

During the workshop you will make a soft sculpture using provided reclaimed and second-hand materials. Using a variety of techniques, Minka will teach basics of crochet and secrets in the creation of her soft sculpture forms.
If you have any special threads, yarns or materials that can be shredded and crocheted please feel free to bring them.
