Inspired by Turkey’s rich culinary history: from the Ottoman Palace kitchens, Istanbul meyhanes, street food, & traditional village meals, Chef Suleyman Kirbancioglu draws upon authentic recipes and techniques, presenting them with contemporary interpretation.

Thanks largely to the Ottoman Empire and Turkey’s geographical location linking Asia & Europe, Turkish cuisine is melting pot of Middle Eastern, Central Asian, European, & Balkan influences. Safran aims to showcase the many facets of Turkish food that goes well beyond kebabs & pide bread. We hope you enjoy the experience!
